Position Summary (Main Purpose)
Lowell Inc has an opportunity for a CMM Operator, Mon-Fri day shift, who will utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure compliance with customer specifications and expectations. CMM Operator will also inspect products at various stages of the production process and evaluate outputs to determine part conformance along with providing feedback to machinists for process control.

Primary Responsibilities
- Operate automated CMM machines to measure parts
- Manage inspection records and QA documentation
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications; provide process improvement suggestions
- Make changes to existing programs for updated revisions and optimization
- Run scheduled checks per customer and company requirements
- Identifying and containing suspect parts
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2+ years of CMM experience utilizing PC-DMIS software
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and powered equipment.
- Familiarity with using a microscope.
- Basic knowledge of inspection tools and gauges.
- Previous experience in a medical device manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Additional Skills and Experience Preferred:
- ISO 13485 regulated environment
- Smart Profile Evaluation Software
- SolidWorks CAD software
